Applications for new sites to be connected to the distribution network should be submitted by the Customer to ESB Networks. Once the application has been accepted ESB Networks will allocate an MPRN to the site.
On receipt of the MPRN the customer can contact the supplier of their choice to register the site. For sites over 30kVa a supplier registration must be received by MRSO before the site can be energised. Sites under 30kVa can be energised without a supplier being registered in which case they will default to the Public Energy Supplier 5 days after energisation.
